Moist Hot Heat Packs

Moist-heat hot packs (also known as hydrocollator packs) warm tissue(s) by way of conduction. The hot packs are heated by immersion in a calibrated 165-degree hot water bath and are applied to the patient wrapped in layers of toweling per the patient’s thermal tolerances. Hot packs are typically applied for a period of twenty (20) to thirty (30) minutes for general relaxation and therapeutic effect.
